From raw biogas to biomethane: Technologies, choices and lessons from 120+ plants

Malmberg has been developing technology since 1866, with more than 30 years of experience in biogas upgrading and over 120 upgrading plants in operation across Europe. In this presentation, we will introduce Malmberg and our approach to biogas upgrading, from our proven water scrubber technology to membrane-based solutions. We will look at the different technologies available, what to consider when selecting an upgrading system, and how factors such as gas flow, raw gas characteristics, energy consumption and plant requirements affect the choice.Malmberg offers both water scrubber and membrane technologies, allowing us to look at each project from its specific requirements rather than starting with one fixed technology. The presentation will also give an overview of our upgrading portfolio and our reference projects, including solutions for different capacities, as well as our approach to CO₂ recovery and long term service and support.
